Since about 36% of our population are youth well on their way to the post modern ideologies of the Youth Alive. Ministry of the Assemblies of God was launched in 1993 with the focus of targeting the youth for the Lord. Rev. Valson Verghese and Rev. M. Timothy Rao were in-charge of the English and Telugu camps respectively. From then on youth ministry has been growing in leaps and bounds, as more youth are coming to know the Lord through these camps.

The Camps are creative, vibrant, fundamental, and holistic geared into the tunes of the times.  “Yuvasamajam” is a new venture to comb and train emergent young leaders and crystallise their talents for the work of the ministry. ROCK THE CITY venture, a youth Carnival of 2002 was well acclaimed in the city, drawing thousands and making news in the City headlines. It is an amalgam of skits, songs, games, fair, fast foods, seminars, etc… in an informal setting to “CATCH THEM YOUNG”. Many responded to this.

Plans are on to venture out into village and towns to impact this generation for Christ.
